About Us

We are a family of dog lovers with a great affection for Australian Shepherds which led to our decision a few years ago to breed our Aussies so that we could hopefully bring the same joy and devotion to other families that we have experienced with ours! We are located in Garland, Texas, a suburb just east of Dallas. So far, we have had buyers come from various cities across the state and as far south as the Texas coast for our pups! I grew up with many different kinds of dogs, and it wasn't until I was married and expecting our first child that I decided to do some research for a breed that would be best for a growing family and that eventually led us to our first Aussie, a black-tri male puppy we named "Simba". It wasn't long before we realized just how truly amazing these dogs are! Their abundant qualities are hard to miss, from their incredible intelligence and sweet spirit to their exuberant personality and intensely loyal and protective nature. And it sure doesn't hurt that they display such beautiful coats, each one unique, with a multitude of color and pattern variations. Watching an Aussie's puppies being born is like opening presents on Christmas morning- you never know what combination you are going to get and each one is literaly a blessing "in disguise"! Combine all of these traits with their patience and gentleness, making them the absolute best breed of dog to have with kids! Pictures do speak! just look at the photo below that I took of "Simba" and my six month old daughter several years ago. To put it simply, I fell in love with Aussies and it wasn't long before I made a vow that I would never again own another kind of dog. So, if you are still on the fence about what kind of dog to get, I guarantee you won't ever regret choosing an Australian Shepherd!

We breed our dogs as a hobby, not a business, which means we won't have more than one litter at a time. This allows us to give all of our attention to our momma dog and to each puppy, and at our house, between myself, my husband, and our three kids, there are more than enough willing hands to keep each pup a little on the spoiled side! In fact, once the pups make it through their second week, we make it a point to see that each one is petted and stroked, and a bit later on, held and played with many times a day so that they become very well socialized, which is something that is often sadly lacking with the pups of many breeders that have multiple litters to care for. When our puppies go home with their new families, they don't shy away and act skittish when someone handles them. They are actually completely at ease with both adults and children. Another thing you may want to consider when buying a puppy from a breeder is whether or not their puppies have been kept in cages or kennels constantly since they were born, especially outdoors. Many times, these puppies tend to have a more difficult time being house-broken due to having become so used to "doing their business" right where they are standing and haven't been given any other choice or reason to go elsewhere. This can lead to a frustrating battle as you try to teach them to change something they have done all of their short lives. You really don't want your brand new relationship with your new little family member to start off with such a negative and stressful beginning! Our puppies live in our home for the entire eight-plus weeks they are with us and while they enjoy their periodic romps in the backyard, they are always ready to come in out of the heat! It's because we keep them mostly inside that most of them will actually leave here partially housebroken, as they have learned to go to (and on!) the newspaper that is laid out in their area of our house.

We do have both parents on site, Smokye and Bandit, and they are two of the most intellegent, good natured, and gorgeous Aussies I've ever met which is one of the reasons I was so excited to breed these two together and see what fabulous puppies they would make! We weren't at all disappointed! All of our puppies will be current on all recommended vaccinations and wormings when they go to their new homes. Each puppy will also be sent home with an adorable "New Puppy" folder which includes a signed health guarantee, AKC registration application, individual health/vaccination record, and several pamplets and informative pages with tips and helpful suggestions for life with your new puppy!
